Nicodesign is a small firm located in the center of Copenhagen. It s directed by Mr. Nicolas Nicolaou a Greek-Danish architect/industrial designer multiple awarded in various competitions.
His pre-existing website look was outdated (due to the new web standards) and its content updating process was time-consuming. He asked for my services in order to redesign and make his company’s presence stronger in the web field.
At start we both agreed to make a full-Flash but controled through an easy-to-use CMS. Then it was crucial to keep some of the old-websites’ elements that many of its visitors were accustomed to.
I decided to make a full-screen webpage with a “liquid layout” in order to fit 100% in all the users’ browsers’ proportions. I combined XML along with AS3 to make a gallery of Mr. Nicolaou’s portfolio products. In close collaboration with my customer we made an intro animation consisting of growing flowers and various coloured balls fill the screen. Tried to keep the focus in company’s initial values: “environmental – anthropocentric design”
Finally, incorporated the “social media” connections as part of viral marketing campaign. A new blog consisting of company’s new features and daily updates is on its way.
